Ingredients
  

Cheese Filling

  • 250 grams cream cheese, softened Gives a rich and creamy texture
  • 60 grams icing sugar Adds a touch of sweetness
  • 1 large egg yolk For richness
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Infuses the mixture with aromatic flavor

Blueberry Mixture

  • 150 grams fresh blueberries Bursting with juicy goodness
  • 60 grams blueberry jam Enhances the blueberry flavor

Pastry & Garnish

  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed Provides a tender and flaky base
  • 1 large egg, whisked For egg wash to give a beautiful golden finish
  • 1 small lemon zest Adds a hint of brightness

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line two large baking trays with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, icing sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • In another bowl, mix the blueberries with blueberry jam.

Assembly

  • On a floured surface, cut the puff pastry into 9 rectangles and score a smaller rectangle inside each, leaving a 1 cm border.
  • Brush the edges with egg wash.
  • Spoon the cheese mixture into the center of each rectangle and top with the blueberry mixture.
  • Arrange the pastries on the trays, spaced apart.

Baking

  • Bake for 13–15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool slightly and serve warm, optionally garnished with lemon zest.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing. Thaw puff pastry completely for the best results. Consider dusting with powdered sugar before serving for added sweetness.
