  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances the overall flavor profile.
  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips Main ingredient for coating.
  • 2 tablespoons paraffin wax or candy melts Optional for a glossy chocolate finish.

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Form mixture into small balls, about an inch in diameter, and place on a lined sheet pan.

Coating

  • Melt the chocolate chips and paraffin wax together in a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
  • Dip each ball into the melted chocolate using a fork or toothpick, letting excess chocolate drip off.
  • Return coated balls to the pan and freeze for about 30 minutes to harden the chocolate.

Notes

For best results, ensure butter is room temperature and chill mixture if too sticky before rolling into balls. These treats are great for parties, gifts, and snacking!
