Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4x8 inch loaf pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  • Stir in the melted butter until fully incorporated.
  • Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
  • Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract; whisk until combined.
  • Gently stir in the peanut butter.
  • Add the flour and mix just until incorporated.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, use very ripe bananas. Avoid overmixing the dough to keep the bread fluffy. Allow cooling for moisture retention.
