Ingredients
  

For the cookie dough

  • 255 g unsalted butter, softened Should be creamy
  • 30 g powdered sugar Adds sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For flavor and aroma
  • 160 g all-purpose flour Base for tender crumb
  • 8 g cornstarch To ensure a light texture
  • 1-2 teaspoons heavy cream As needed for dough consistency

For decorating

  • 170 g dark chocolate chips Melted for richness
  • 170 g white chocolate chips Melted for creaminess
  • Colorful sprinkles For decorating

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, beat the softened butter for 2 to 3 minutes until pale and creamy.
  • Add powdered sugar and mix for another 2 minutes until fluffy.
  • Incorporate vanilla extract.
  • Sift in the all-purpose flour and cornstarch, mixing gently until just combined.
  • Transfer the dough to a piping bag and add heavy cream as needed.
  • Pipe desired shapes onto the prepared baking sheet; chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Baking

  • Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
  • Bake the cookies for 8 to 10 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  • Cool cookies on a wire rack.

Decoration

  • Melt dark chocolate and dip each cooled cookie halfway.
  • Repeat with white chocolate, and sprinkle colorful decorations on warm chocolate.

Notes

Chill the dough if too soft, experiment with different shapes, and get creative with toppings.
