  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until it starts to brown.
  • Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is soft and translucent.
  • Season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Stir to combine.
  • Pour in the beef broth and tomato sauce, stirring to combine.
  • Add the pasta shells, ensuring they are submerged in the liquid.
  • Bring to a simmer, cover, and reduce heat to low. Let it gently bubble away for a few minutes.
  • Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until the pasta is tender.
  • Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and stir well.
  • Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve.

Notes

For a lighter dish, use ground turkey or chicken and whole grain pasta shells. Consider adding spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
