Preparation

  • Add the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks until it is fully browned and crumbled.
  • Once the beef is cooked, introduce the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic into the pot.
  • Sauté these aromatic vegetables for about 5 minutes, until they soften and release their delightful scents.

Cooking

  • Mix in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans, black beans, chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir everything together, ensuring that the ingredients are well combined.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  • Once it starts bubbling, reduce the heat to low, allowing the chili to simmer uncovered for about one hour. Stir occasionally.
