Preparation

  • Start by seasoning the shrimp with Slap Ya Mama seasoning, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, and black pepper.
  • In a large skillet, heat the avocado oil and butter over medium-high heat.
  • Once the oil is shimmering, add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet. Cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque, then remove them from the skillet and set aside.

Cooking

  • In the same skillet, add the linguine, halved cherry tomatoes, sliced red onion, garlic, and 2-3 basil leaves. Sprinkle in the Herbs de Provence and red pepper flakes.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring the mixture to a light boil, then reduce the heat and let it gently simmer for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • After the pasta is al dente, stir in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese until it melts into the sauce.
  • Add the cooked shrimp back into the skillet along with the lemon juice, chopped parsley, and remaining basil. Toss everything together until well combined.
