  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract Introduces warm, inviting notes.
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) unflavored gelatin Helps achieve the signature wobble.
  • a pinch salt Balances the sweetness.

  • to taste berry compote Adds a bright, tart contrast.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Bloom the gelatin by sprinkling it over 3 tablespoons of cold water in a small bowl and let it sit undisturbed for 5-10 minutes.
  • In a medium saucepan, mix together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt. Heat gently over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is hot, but not boiling.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin until completely dissolved. Add the vanilla extract and stir well.
  • Pour the mixture into serving glasses or molds. Let them cool to room temperature, then cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Serving

  • To serve, briefly dip the molds in warm water to loosen the Panna Cotta, then invert onto plates.
  • Top with vibrant berry compote or fresh fruits.

Notes

For additional flavors, infuse the cream with lemon zest, coffee, or chamomile. Garnish with edible flowers or grated chocolate for an elegant touch.
