Preparation

  • Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season the steak with salt and pepper on both sides.

Cooking

  • Add olive oil to the skillet and sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on one side until a golden-brown crust forms.
  • Flip the steak and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare doneness.
  • Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest on a cutting board.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
  • Pour in chicken broth and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Lower the heat and gradually add heavy cream, stirring continuously.
  • Allow the sauce to thicken for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Stir in chopped parsley and adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Return the steak to the skillet and coat it in the creamy garlic sauce.
  • Serve on a plate, drizzled with the creamy garlic sauce.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with Greek yogurt and chicken broth. Ensure the skillet is hot enough to achieve a proper sear on the steak.
