White Chocolate Raspberry Trifle

Ingredients
  

For the Raspberry Sauce

  • 1 package (10 ounces) frozen raspberries Vibrant and juicy, adding a tart contrast
  • 1/2 cup sugar To enhance the natural sweetness
  • 1/4 cup water For cooking the raspberries
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch To thicken the raspberry mixture
  • 1/4 cup cold water To mix with the cornstarch

For the Mousse and Assembly

  • 2 cups heavy cream Providing a rich base for the mousse
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adding warm and aromatic notes
  • 12 ounces white chocolate Chopped into pieces that melt into the mousse
  • 1 store-bought pound cake Cut into cubes for layering

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Thaw the frozen raspberries in the refrigerator or at room temperature until softened.
  • In a saucepan, combine thawed raspberries, sugar, and 1/4 cup of water. Cook over medium heat until raspberries break down.
  • In a bowl, mix cornstarch with 1/4 cup of cold water until smooth. Stir this into the raspberry mixture and cook until thickened. Remove and cool.
  • In a mixing bowl, whip heavy cream with vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  • Melt the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Once melted, fold into the whipped cream.

Assembly

  • Layer half of the pound cake cubes at the bottom of a trifle dish.
  • Spread half of the white chocolate mousse over the cake.
  • Pour half of the raspberry sauce over the mousse.
  • Repeat with remaining ingredients: pound cake, mousse, and raspberry sauce.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Use high-quality white chocolate for best results. Garnish with fresh raspberries or whipped cream before serving. Can be made a day in advance.
